Medical Director – Rehab
 
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervision of the professional operations of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at Grand View Hospital.
- Care for all the patients admitted to the Acute Rehab unit. Consult the Hospitalist or Specialist as appropriate.
- Physician will also have outpatient office hours.
- Participate, as requested by Hospital Administration, in administrative functions necessary to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the management of unit.
- Provide supervision, management, and oversight to the Rehab Unit, to assure the professional services rendered meet or exceed accepted standards of care.
- Participate as requested by Hospital Administration in the long-range planning of the Rehab Unit, including but not limited to equipment selection, budgeting, staffing, and meeting Joint Commission requirements.
- Provide for or arrange for in-service training for the Rehab Unit’s employees.
- Assist Hospital administration with any administrative, operational, or personnel problems in the Rehab Unit and promptly inform Hospital Administration of the same.
- Assist Hospital Administration in obtaining and maintaining accreditation and all permits and licenses which are dependent upon or applicable to the way the Acute Rahab is conducted.
- Assure the maintenance of accurate, complete, and timely patient records and charts to facilitate the delivery of quality patient care and provide information required for Hospital to obtain payment for its services.
- Physician shall document in the Hospital EMR (Meditech).
- Some weekend and call coverage may be necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Doctor of Medicine required
MD or DO from accredited medical school
PA medical license
