Responsibilities
The Urgent Care physician will take care of patients of all ages for acute care, sudden illnesses, injuries, and accidents. All physicians must be BE/BC in primary care medicine or emergency medicine.
The physician will work shifts with a fully supportive staff including experienced RNs. A diagnostic team of Radiologists from Grand View Health reads any imaging reports.
Both Urgent Care centers are open 7 days per week (minus a few holidays) and closes at 8 p.m.
The patients are referred by a large group of primary care physicians to help keep patients out of emergency departments.
Meditech EMR is utilized.
The Physician is responsible for providing quality care for Grand View Health patients which fall under the physician's field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance to all patients. In addition, the Physician is responsible for promoting the GVH mission, vision, and values as well as collaboratively work with team members at all levels to achieve them. They must be cognizant of, and comply with, all GVH policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Doctor of Medicine from an accredited medical institution required or
Doctor of Osteopathy from an accredited medical institution required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Physician – PA Licensed, Upon hire, required
Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine
BE/BC required
